The Position
The Development Coordinator is a new position at Business / Arts supporting the acquisition, stewardship and retention of our valued corporate, private and government funders. You will report to the Senior Director Partnerships and Development, and work very closely with the programming team and senior management as well as with the communications team to help meet development and partnership goals for Business / Arts.

Key Responsibilities
The Development Coordinator will support the corporate membership program, membership events, and general administration. They will be responsible for maintenance of the CRM. In addition, the Development Coordinator will support Business / Arts programs and events including the Canadian Arts Summit, Business / Arts Awards Celebration, and BoardLink. The Development Coordinator will:
- Provide support to Senior Director Partnerships and Development to ensure the smooth and successful operation of development activities and events
- Track member, partner and donor contacts and information in CRM
- Support the stewardship of current members
- Assist in writing proposals, reports, acknowledgment and thank you letters
- Research and identify prospective new members, corporate partners and donors
- Foster positive relationships with current and potential donors and funders
- Work closely with the communications team to develop communications plans and content for membership events and programs
- Prepare reports and mailing lists as required
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of fundraising principles and experience working with partners, donors and funders is preferred.
- Basic knowledge and experience working with the charitable sector.
- Ability to work with sensitive information with complete confidentiality.
- Ability to work in French is an asset.

What you can expect
This is a full-time permanent role with a salary range of $3750 to $4000/month. Business / Arts also offers a comprehensive Health and Benefits plan. This will be a hybrid work position, based in Toronto with flex time available. Candidates must be able to work approximately 15 evenings and 1-2 weekends per year for events.
