Reflections from Emerging Leaders on Arts and Culture in Canada

In the face of evolving challenges and new possibilities, Canada’s arts and culture sector is navigating a dynamic future. B/A’s Emerging Leadership Program features key voices driving the next wave of artistic development across the country.

Earlier this year, the cohort gathered to exchange ideas, spark new initiatives, and envision a future where arts and culture continue to thrive at the 2024 Canadian Arts Summit. Through a series of discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, the group delved into what leadership in the arts means to them, uncovering the shared values that drive their commitment to the sector.

      About the Emerging Leadership Program

      The Emerging Leadership Program was launched to empower 25 arts, culture, and heritage leaders from across Canada. Intended for those aspiring to hold senior roles in large cultural organizations, this program seeks to nurture a diverse talent pool and address leadership gaps within Canada’s cultural sector. From March 2024 to February 2025, this one-year program provides opportunities for career growth with an emphasis on co-learning for participants and advisors. Meet the participants here.
