The Position

Business / Arts is seeking a bilingual Program Coordinator to support the delivery of artsvest, a virtual training and mentorship program for small to medium-sized arts, culture and heritage organizations across Canada.

Reporting to the Senior Director (artsvest), the Program Coordinator will provide administrative and event support to help deliver an accessible and engaging national program. The role will involve regular interactions with program participants and mentors, frequent participation in Zoom-based events, and ongoing data analysis for monitoring and evaluation.

This remote position is open to candidates from across the country. Toronto-based candidates will have the option for hybrid work.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/French), organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented. They are comfortable coordinating multiple moving pieces and communicating with colleagues as well as external stakeholders. They have strong administrative and communication skills, and function effectively in virtual environments with a small team. They are interested in supporting programs that strengthen the capacity and resilience of Canada’s arts, culture, and heritage sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage onboarding logistics and communications for artsvest National participants
  • Support the Regional Programs Manager with applications and matching funds claims
  • Support outreach and community engagement for artsvest National and Regional programs
  • Support Zoom event management – Create events, panelist links, reminders, surveys
  • Coordinate accessibility needs for all Zoom events (including ASL/LSQ and translation)
  • Maintain the mentor database (Airtable or Google Sheets), and build mechanisms for tracking mentor engagement
  • Provide administrative support for mentor stewardship
  • Support French-language programming and events, and assist with small translation projects from English to French for program communications
  • Manage the general artsvest email account and support alumni communications
  • Provide administrative support and data management for the artsvest team
  • Provide administrative and event support for the Development team, as needed

Qualifications

  • Professional working proficiency in English and French (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and research skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, events, and deadlines
  • Experience supporting programs, events, or community engagement initiatives
  • Comfort with Zoom and virtual event coordination
  • Familiarity with Google Drive, Airtable, or similar databases and organizational tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to take the initiative
  • Knowledge of the Canadian arts and culture sector is a strong asset

    Position Details

    This is a full-time contract (ending on March 31, 2030, with the possibility of extension). The position has a salary range of $46,000 – $48,000 annually. Business / Arts also offers a comprehensive Health and Benefits plan. This position is open to candidates from across the country, with a hybrid work arrangement possible in Toronto.
