Arts organizations have begun inviting audiences back to relive the magic of live performances, in-person programming and exhibitions at full capacity. And while there has been an upswing in attendance, many culture-goers have yet to return. In this edition of the Speaker Series, we turned our attention to those who remain reluctant to return to the arts, and consider meaningful strategies for engaging these audiences.
This session featured a response panel with arts leaders from across the country, who shared their recent experiences with the shift back to live programming and strategies for inclusive and meaningful public engagement.
Speakers included:
- Brenda Lieberman, Festival Director, Co-Founder and Lead Programmer, Calgary Underground Film Festival & Lead Programmer, Calgary International Film Festival
- Melissa Lee, Director of Education and Public Programs, Vancouver Art Gallery
- Nadine Villasin Feldman, Director of Programming, Myseum of Toronto
- Nik Nanos, Chief Data Scientist and Founder, Nanos Research
