Founded by Theatre Direct in 2019, Balancing Act aims to bring about change and increase access to employment for parents and caregivers working in the performing arts. In this session, we discussed how Balancing Act fosters a culture of care in the arts by supporting policies, practices, and programming that encourage a more inclusive workplace for caregivers and consider how the benefits extend across the cultural workforce.
We were also joined by Strategy Partners participating in Balancing Act’s new program, Level UP!, who shared their experiences piloting strategies that forefront more inclusive, care-led workplace policies and practices.
