ARTS: Customer-Centric Marketing & Audience Development

Moderated by Kondwani Mwase, Executive Director of Audience Engagement at the National Arts Centre, this webinar explored the latest findings from the Arts Response Tracking Survey (ARTS), presented by Nik Nanos. This edition of ARTS features insights on audience behaviours, spending habits and methods of engagement across the arts sector.

Joining the conversation were Jasmine Bradley, Senior Director of Communications and Branding at the Vancouver Art Gallery, and Rachael DiMenna, Senior Manager of Strategy and Partnerships at Fever.

Rachael and the team at Fever look to democratize access to live entertainment and culture through its platform and initiatives including Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience and the Candlelight Concerts. Jasmine leads communication efforts for the Vancouver Art Gallery’s transformative campaign “The Build Up”, which marks the next chapter in their journey toward the building of a state-of-the-art cultural hub. Don’t miss this conversation on innovative approaches to arts marketing, branding, and audience development!

What is ARTS?

ARTS is a partnership between Business / Arts, the National Arts Centre, and Nanos Research that conducts quarterly surveys of over 1000 Canadian culture-goers. Since its launch in May 2020, ARTS has offered valuable insights into audience behaviours and helped inform the reopening procedures and programming models of Canadian arts organizations throughout the pandemic.

With its newly structured approach, ARTS continues to offer insights into audience behaviours and attitudes on a quarterly basis, with each quarter focusing on a specific topic area. Winter will focus on marketing, spring on sales, summer on public perceptions and engagement, and fall on fundraising. Read more.
