Congratulations to Canada Goose!

2022 Corporate Champion of the Arts Award Recipient

The Corporate Champion of the Arts Award recognizes a business that has strengthened arts and culture in Canada through its long-standing support of and commitment to the sector.

Since 2017, Canada Goose has featured meaningful art by Canadian and International artists throughout its retail locations around the world, reflecting its deep relationship with the Canadian North.

Highlighting narratives that primarily focus on the Arctic experience, the Canada Goose Northern Art Program aims to build community, elevate stories, and enrich guest experiences. The collection includes over 400 works by Indigenous, Canadian, and International artists, making it the largest retail collection of Inuit art in the world. As of today, representation includes 70% Inuit and indigenous artists, with gender parity reflected therein.

Unique to the Canada Goose collection are large-scale works of public art, designed and built in collaboration with Inuit artists. Canada Goose’s commissioning process has resulted in one-of-a-kind monumental works of art such as Story Tree, a fifteen-foot aluminum tree with the work of Qavavau Manumie in bloom through the canopy. Story Tree can be seen at the brand’s flagship store at the Yorkdale Shopping Centre.
