Peter Herrndorf Arts Leadership Award: 

In recognition of her legacy of mentorship and building transformative partnerships in the arts, Mavis Staines, C.M., DhumL, Artistic Director and CEO of Canada’s National Ballet School is receiving the Peter Herrndorf Arts Leadership Award. Ms. Staines has been an instigator for many creative collaborations in Canada, a visionary for arts education and a major influence in the national and international dance community.

The Peter Herrndorf Arts Leadership Award recognizes an arts leader who has spent a lifetime dedicated to fostering the arts in Canada by building partnerships with fellow arts executives, artists, media, business leaders and public sector officials to ensure a vibrant cultural sector for all Canadians.

Arnold Edinborough Award: 

James Ingold, Product Manager of IQMETRIX, is this year’s Arnold Edinborough Award recipient. The youngest person to be elected to SaskCulture’s board, Mr. Ingold’s dedication to relationship building and innovative board governance resulted in a two-year term as Board President starting at the age of 25.

Corporate Champion of the Arts Award: 

EQ Bank is receiving the Corporate Champion of the Arts Award. Through the Emerging Digital Artists Award (EDAA), EQ Bank has found a unique way to leverage its position as a digital bank to support digital artmaking practices and artists. Presented in partnership with Trinity Square Video, the EDAA program champions early-career media artists, celebrating the contributions of artists working exclusively in the virtual space.

Community Impact Award: 

The innovative partnership between Netflix and Hot Docs for the Hot Docs Canadian Storytellers Project (HDCSP) is receiving the Community Impact Award. Launched in 2018, this national initiative elevates underrepresented Canadian documentary creators by developing their artistic toolkits, providing mentorship and start-up funding, and building the necessary foundations for sustainable filmmaking careers.
