Is Digital Here to Stay?
Building resilience in the arts

Join us on Wednesday, March 24th, as we explore how arts organizations and culture-goers have been navigating the transition to digital programming during COVID-19.

During this session, we will speak with leaders from arts organizations that have kept their audiences engaged remotely and adapted their programming to a virtual format. Together, we will explore what types of digital alternatives are available, as well as the opportunities and challenges that exist within them.

We will also be joined by Nik Nanos, Chief Data Scientist and Founder of Nanos Research. He will be sharing the latest findings of the Arts Response Tracking Survey (ARTS). The fourth tracking survey provides insights into current and future methods of consuming cultural content and examines culture-goers’ comfort levels participating in virtual and in-person cultural activities in 2021 and beyond.

Speakers Include:

  • Jozef Spiteri, Partnerships Manager, The Phi Centre
  • Mieko Ouchi, TD Associate Artistic Director, The Citadel Theatre
  • Neil Middleton, Vice-President, Marketing and Sales, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra

About the Arts Response Tracking Survey (ARTS):

Business / Arts, the National Arts Centre and Nanos Research have come together to gauge Canadians’ attitudes on returning to indoor and outdoor arts and culture events across Canada. Over 1,000 people were polled through the Arts Response Tracking Survey (ARTS). The results offer valuable insight for arts organizations across the country to help inform re-opening procedures and programming models.
