Canadian Art Summit

“Top level managers need people with whom they can talk with confidence, can deliberate, can think aloud… The management of a large institution needs windows that open on the outside world. Inevitably, it sees its own institution as large and important, and the rest of the world as small – if it sees the rest of the world at all.”

Peter Drucker, The Bored Board

In order to enable everyone in the room to “talk with confidence, deliberate and think aloud” the Steering Committee asks each participant to enable the free flow of discussion by following these ground rules for reporting on the Summit proceedings to others:

  • No attribution will be made to any one individual participant in order to enable every participant to speak candidly;
  • The group – as a group – will decide what information goes outside the room and how at the end of the Summit.
