artsvest returns to British Columbia

June 7, 2019

We are pleased to announce dates for the 2019 launch of the artsvest program in British Columbia. Both Canadian Heritage and the British Columbia Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture will continue their support for this next phase.

“British Columbia’s arts and culture sector is vibrant, diverse and recognized for artistic excellence,” said Lisa Beare, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture. “We want to build even greater capacity in Canada’s cultural sector, and bring even more arts and culture to people and communities across the province. artsvest helps support connections between arts and culture organizations and the business community. I encourage regional arts and culture not-for-profits to apply for this valuable program.”

The investment of $300,000 from the B.C. government, combined with Canadian Heritage support, provides a total of $360,000 in matching incentive grants to participants who secure sponsorship from businesses throughout the two-year program.

Participants benefit from one-on-one, peer-to-peer and group mentorship sessions that provide comprehensive training, resources, and expertise in sponsorship, marketing and board governance. artsvest also provides matching funds that give organizations added incentive to maximize business support in the cultural sector and establish long-term successful business and arts partnerships.

Organizations in the following regions are eligible to apply for the 2019-20 artsvest B.C. program: Capital Regional District, Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, East Kootenay Regional District, Peace River Regional District, and Haida Gwaii.
